Q. What is the drop off procedure in the morning?

A. School doors open at 7:15am. Students will go into the cafeteria and sit with their class in the designated area. At 7:30, teachers will escort their classes from the cafeteria to the classroom. Students who arrive after their class has left the cafeteria should proceed directly to their classroom. Staff are available in the hallways to assist or escort any student who needs a little help finding their way. All students must be in their classrooms when the instructional day begins at 7:40.

Q. May I accompany my child to the classroom?

A. No. Please say your goodbyes to your students at each of the entry points and allow our staff to see your student safely to class. We appreciate your cooperation with this process as it allows us to maintain a safe learning environment, increase student independence, and start the instructional day on time with minimal distractions.

Q. Can I have lunch with my student?

A. Absolutely! Please check with your child's teacher for the class lunch time. Please arrive a few minutes early and check-in at the office; a photo ID is required. For the 1st few weeks of school we ask that families who come and eat with their students participate in our outdoor dining while we ensure that we have enough seating in the cafeteria for all students.

Q. What is the procedure at dismissal?

A. Students who live nearby and walk or bike home will be dismissed directly to do so. Those in after school programs or who ride a bus will be escorted to their program or transportation. If you choose to pick up your student, you may park on the street and meet your student's teacher in the designated pick-up area. You may also wait in the vehicle pick up line in the designated area for your student's class. If you choose to wait in the vehicle pick up line, please pull all the way forward, remain in your vehicle at all times, and follow the instructions of the staff, who will assist you and bring your student to you.

Second and third grade students are dismissed from the front of the school. All other students are picked up from the back parking lot, along Buffalo Pass.
If there will be any change in your child's after school transportation, please let the front office know prior 2 pm.

Q. What if my child is late to school or must leave early?

A. For any student arriving after 7:40 am, or any student who must leave before 3:00 pm, please check in with the office. Office staff will escort your student to or from class. Students will only be released to individuals who are named on the student's registration form as allowed for pick-up.
